How does it work?
Honestly, no one knows for sure. We found the Rasterizer in an abandoned missile silo and were initially afraid to turn it on. Luckily, it appears to prefer turning images into laser-ready color projects.
Okay, seriously, here’s what it does:
- The Rasterizer reads your artwork pixel by pixel and reduces it to the engraving colors you selected.
- It joins matching color regions into clean, closed vector shapes that are ready for the laser.
- It creates each LightBurn layer using the matching setting from your Material Library.
- But wait, there’s more: it creates precise punch-through geometry for every color, so layers clear their own space with no overlapping engraves, stray open paths, or messy boundaries.
