Photography
Keep the material flat, use stable illumination and viewing geometry, avoid clipped highlights, and include the complete border and fiducials when possible.
Alignment tools
Automatic rectification can be supplemented with rotation, crop controls, manual corners, and manual sample points when the grid is not confidently detected.
Review before exporting or saving
Observed color, confidence, quality flags, and swatch-similarity diagnostics help identify weak or redundant cells. Keep only measurements you trust.
