Color Photograph to Layered SVG and LightBurn Vectors
Color Photo maps the source image's colors to the enabled Rasterizer swatches available to the job, then builds vector regions from those mapped colors.
Expect simplification
A photograph usually contains far more colors than are practical as separate vector layers in a color-separated laser project. The preset quantizes those colors to the available Rasterizer swatches, which can merge or omit subtle color and tonal transitions.
Control project complexity
Higher processing pixel dimensions and more enabled Rasterizer swatches can increase vector-object count, memory use, processing time, and the size of both SVG and LightBurn project files. Start with the lowest processing resolution that retains the important subject detail.
Material settings
When the preset is used for MOPA Laser color engraving, the resulting color appearance depends on the laser, lens, focus, material, surface preparation, and tested laser settings. In a Material Library-backed job, Rasterizer applies the matched settings you supplied, but it cannot guarantee that a Rasterizer swatch or screen color will match the physical color produced by the engraving.

Minimum island area
Removes isolated color regions smaller than the selected raster-area threshold. Each footprint transfers to the touching swatch that shares the most pixel sides; Black is used only when no swatch touches it.
Analogy: Like removing a tiny mosaic tile and giving its space to the neighboring color wrapped around most of its edges.
Simplification
Reduces small boundary bends and vector points while retaining the larger silhouette.
Analogy: Like tracing a coastline with a broader pencil that skips the smallest coves.
Smoothing radius
Rounds small corners and calms jagged region boundaries.
Analogy: Like sanding a cut edge with progressively more rounding pressure.
