Community Set: Community-Shared Laser Settings
Community Set is a community-driven database of laser settings contributed by users who want to help the laser community grow. Their willingness to share gives people who are newer to laser engraving useful starting points from real-world machines and materials, and we deeply appreciate every contribution.
Built by the laser community
Useful laser settings are often discovered through patient testing. Community Set lets members benefit from that experience instead of always beginning from zero.
Each shared setting represents a user choosing to help someone else learn. The collection becomes more useful as contributors add results from different lasers, lenses, and color experiments.
Member-only access
Browsing and searching Community Set is available to signed-in members. Guests can visit the page to learn about the collection and create an account for access.
Membership keeps the shared collection connected to the Rasterizer community while leaving each contributor's personal Swatch Palette Vault private.
What contributors share
Community Set submissions come only from Color Palettes. Choose Community Set on a Color Palette, review its selectable swatches in the confirmation panel, and clear any settings you do not want to publish. Laser and lens details are required; material and optional notes accompany only the checked settings. Hatch Palettes and Fauxlographic Palettes are not publishable to Community Set.
Community results do not store or publish the contributor's account identity. Personal files and private palette names are not part of the shared settings results. Contributors should still avoid putting personal information in free-form notes.
Finding comparable settings
Members can filter the collection by laser, lens, material, and color. Material searches accept partial names, making it easier to find related entries even when contributors describe a material slightly differently.
Results with no assigned swatch color are hidden. Matching results display the swatch and color along with each available laser parameter so settings can be compared directly.
Use shared settings as a starting point
Even nominally identical lasers can behave differently because of calibration, optics, focus, material finish, and environmental conditions. A community setting is a useful reference, not a guaranteed recipe.
Begin with a safe test area, confirm your machine limits, and adjust methodically before engraving a finished workpiece.
