Swatch Palette Vault
Swatch Palette Vault is the private, account-backed home for the palettes, LightBurn settings, and Fauxlographic Palettes you choose to save for use across Rasterizer's workflows.
Saved Material Libraries
Signed-in users can upload supported LightBurn Material Library files, inspect entries, edit their metadata and cut settings, create libraries, and build a new library from settings selected across one or more saved libraries. Only you have access to the libraries and palettes in your Swatch Palette Vault unless you choose to anonymously share eligible settings with Community Set.
For the underlying LightBurn workflow, see the official Material Library documentation. Swatch Palette Vault complements those files; it does not replace LightBurn's Library window.
Assign settings to Rasterizer swatches
A Color Palette can assign any Cut Setting Entry to an official Rasterizer swatch, so a setting does not need to be renamed just to make the mapping work. Open the setting, use the searchable Rasterizer Swatch picker to choose by color name or hex, then save the palette. Imports still recognize Descriptions that already match official swatch names and establish those obvious assignments automatically.
Each official Rasterizer swatch can be assigned to only one setting in a palette, and each setting can carry only one official assignment. Swatches already assigned elsewhere are unavailable until the current assignment is moved or removed. Choose Unassigned when a setting should not participate in Rasterizer color matching; that official swatch is then disabled when this saved palette is selected for a job. Reset to Default restores a setting's name-based match when one exists, while Reset Mappings rebuilds the palette's default name-based assignments as a draft that must still be saved.
The special Labels swatch type
Labels is a special-purpose swatch type represented by a Cut Setting Entry named Labels. It is reserved for text and identification marks generated by Rasterizer's testing tools, not an official artwork color or a color-quantization target. Give this entry a conservative setting that produces small, readable text on the palette's material.
Color Lab discovery and refinement grids, Fauxlographic Etching Lab calibration grids, and Material Coupon labels can use this setting. Each workflow exposes a Labels selector so you may choose any setting from the applicable palette instead. When an entry named Labels exists, it is selected automatically; when it does not, the workflow falls back to its first applicable or starting setting. The selector's final choice supplies the actual LightBurn cut parameters used for the generated labels.
Keep Labels specific to the same material, laser, lens, focus method, and preparation as the rest of the palette. A setting that makes readable text on one surface may be faint, destructive, or unsafe on another.
Palette material ownership
Each saved palette represents one material. When importing a library containing several materials, choose the single material to import. When settings are copied into another palette, their material is changed to the destination palette's material so one palette cannot silently become a mixture of materials. Edit the palette material when the entire palette should be relabeled; individual settings do not independently define a different destination material.
Hatch Palettes
A Hatch Palette clones one manually entered or saved Fill or Offset Fill base setting across the default Rasterizer swatches. The swatch colors remain identifiers for matching artwork geometry, while each matching LightBurn layer can receive a planned hatch angle and optional line interval. Swatch Palette Vault previews these as colored lines whose direction follows the stored angle and whose relative spacing follows the stored line interval or lines per inch.
Power, scanning speed, pulse frequency, pulse duration, passes, and the other base laser settings remain identical across the clones. Offset Fill is supported as a creative styling choice, but LightBurn controls the effective direction of its offset paths, so Rasterizer cannot guarantee that the displayed angle will become the physical Offset Fill direction.

Depth Palettes
A Depth Palette does not contain a LightBurn file or laser settings. It assigns a Farther-to-Closer target depth and an influence percentage to selected Rasterizer swatches. The Depthmap/Relief Engraving Lab can then use matching colors in a source image to influence the perspective-based depth estimate.

Selected Actions
Check settings from one or more palettes, then open Selected Actions to export them as a LightBurn library, copy them to an existing or new palette, permanently delete them, generate a labeled coupon, or generate a blank LightBurn project. Action-specific fields appear only when that action needs them. Coupon generation includes a Labels selector populated from the palettes represented by the selected settings.
Generate Blank LightBurn Project downloads a geometry-free .lbrn2 file whose selected settings are already assigned to layers. Settings mapped to official Rasterizer swatches use those official LightBurn layers; other selected settings fill available layers that are not reserved by an official match. This is useful when you want a clean LightBurn workspace preloaded with selected settings but no generated artwork.

Fauxlographic Palettes
A Fauxlographic Palette stores measured diffraction swatches selected from an analyzed calibration grid. It embeds each swatch's LightBurn setting and an optional Black setting, making it self-contained for Rasterizer artwork jobs while remaining a distinct palette type in the vault.
Use Download JSON to export the complete Fauxlographic Palette. The download is built from the values currently visible in the browser, so it includes edits made in the open Settings panel even if those edits have not yet been saved to the account. Save separately when those edits should also replace the account-backed copy.
Where saved data is used
Rasterizer can select saved Material Libraries, Color Palettes, Hatch Palettes, and Fauxlographic Palettes. The Depthmap/Relief Engraving Lab selects saved Depth Palettes. The Fauxlographic Etching Lab creates Fauxlographic Palettes from measured calibration cells.
Guests can use Rasterizer with a freshly uploaded Material Library, an uploaded Fauxlographic Swatch Palette, or SVG-only mode; use Color Lab and export selected settings as a .clb file; use the Fauxlographic Etching Lab and download a self-contained Fauxlographic Swatch Palette; and use the Depthmap Generator without saved color guidance. Guest resources are not added to Swatch Palette Vault.
