Geometry Styles and Per-Swatch Geometry Routing

Geometry Style is a separate Rasterizer pipeline stage. A compatible Image Style first prepares and color-separates the artwork; Geometry Style then keeps those regions as continuous vectors or rebuilds them as glyph or diffraction-grating geometry. This makes it possible to combine ordinary image processing with a reusable output-geometry treatment.

Normal Vectors

Normal Vectors preserves the continuous closed regions produced by the selected Image Style. Choose it when you do not want an additional glyph or grating transformation.

Glyphs

Glyphs rebuilds the prepared color regions on one shared matrix using the selected solid shape. Available shapes include circle, square, diamond, triangle, hexagon, octagon, star, cross, bar, skull, heart, space invader, ghost, bat, alien head, paw print, fish scale, puzzle piece, and a deterministic Mixed Shapes option.

Cell Size, Minimum and Maximum Glyph Ratio, Non-Black Glyph Density, Tone Curve, Contrast, Grid Angle, Glyph Rotation, and Seed control the shared pattern. Black Only sends the marks to Black. Invert reverses the tone-to-size relationship. Invert Fill retains each color's vector regions and cuts glyph-shaped holes through them instead of replacing them with solid glyphs; it cannot be combined with Black Only.

Krasnow Grating

Krasnow Grating converts the prepared regions into clipped cells of open diffraction-grating lines. It uses the same core controls and Fauxlographic Cut Setting anchor as the Krasnow Color Grating abstract filter, but it can follow another compatible Image Style first.

The Geometry Style also provides Fauxlogram Gradient Scope and Fauxlogram Gradient Direction. The gradient can span the entire artwork or restart inside each disconnected prepared shape, and it can run vertically, horizontally, or radially. Entire Artwork plus Top to Bottom preserves the established behavior. For the closest comparison with the dedicated Krasnow abstract filter, select No geometric effect as the Image Style and Krasnow Grating as the Geometry Style.

Choose by swatch

Choose by swatch lets each enabled palette swatch use Normal Vectors, Glyphs, or Krasnow Grating. Select swatches and use the bulk assignment buttons, or change individual assignments in the swatch grid. Shared Glyph settings and shared Krasnow Grating settings appear as their own sections whenever at least one swatch uses the corresponding treatment.

Each prepared source region receives one treatment, and Rasterizer makes the output layers mutually exclusive before export so the same area is not engraved by multiple swatch settings. Black is kept as Normal Vectors in this mixed-routing mode to prevent a second Black treatment from overlapping transformed layers.

Compatibility

Geometry Style is available for standard and ordinary abstract image processing. Specialized geometry-producing abstract filters—Halftone Newsprint, Optical Color Mix, and Krasnow Color Grating—already construct their own final geometry and therefore do not accept another shared geometry transformation.

Settings and persistence

Signed-in members' most recently submitted Geometry Style, per-swatch assignments, and shared Glyph or Krasnow settings are restored with their Rasterizer workflow settings. Guest sessions use the form defaults and do not save account-backed preferences.
