.svg File and LightBurn .lbrn2 File Export
Material Library-backed jobs provide both an SVG and a LightBurn .lbrn2 project; download whichever output files you want or need for your workflow. SVG-only jobs provide just the layered SVG. Download buttons show Download followed by the output file's basename and extension, without exposing storage paths.
SVG versus LightBurn project
The SVG contains portable color-separated vector geometry but no LightBurn laser settings. The .lbrn2 project contains the corresponding LightBurn layers and applicable settings copied from the selected Material Library or palette.
Embedded project Notes
Every Rasterizer-generated .lbrn2 project includes a LightBurn Notes entry recording the job type, Rasterizer parameters, abstract filter and its parameters, Geometry Style and its parameters, selected material, color-matching controls, and used swatches. Private internal-only parameters are excluded.
These notes make an exported project easier to inspect later, but Job History remains the account-backed record for signed-in members.
Projects larger than 50 MB
After serialization, a .lbrn2 file larger than 50,000,000 bytes receives a warning at the top of its Notes and is configured to show that note when loaded. The warning explains that LightBurn can appear frozen or Not Responding after Frame, Send, or Start while it calculates dense geometry.
Rasterizer-generated LightBurn projects retain Order by Layer as the only ordering rule and automatically disable the remaining path optimizations, so no manual optimization change is required. Be patient while LightBurn completes its calculations, and review the dedicated large-project guide before operating an unusually dense file.
Before engraving
Open the .lbrn2 file in LightBurn and verify dimensions, origin, layer order, cut mode, speed, power, frequency, pulse width, passes, line interval, hatch behavior, and Notes. For SVG-only output, import the SVG into the software appropriate for your machine and assign every production setting there.
Safety
Generated geometry and copied settings are not an assurance that a job is safe. Confirm machine limits, material compatibility, focus, extraction, supervision, and fire-control procedures before running the laser.
