Generate a Fauxlographic Diffraction Calibration Grid
The calibration grid creates known cells whose requested parameters can later be paired with colors observed in a photograph.
Rows and columns
Columns span the configured interval range, while rows span scan angles. The saved profile records the grid dimensions and each cell’s requested parameters.
Cut mode override
Setting uses the matched Material Library cut type. Line, Fill, or Offset Fill overrides the exported calibration layers when explicitly selected.
Identification and alignment
The engraved grid includes labels, fiducials, and its calibration identifier so the physical test can be associated with the correct profile.
Use the Labels selector to choose the palette setting that engraves the identifier. An entry named Labels is selected automatically when present in the same material; otherwise the chosen calibration setting is used initially. The final selection affects the label layer only and does not replace the base setting swept across the calibration cells.
